Who we are
Healthcare Australia is an established, national provider of healthcare support services in Australia.
Your funding is tailored to your individual needs and is divided into different budget categories, each with specific rules on how funds can be used. Funds cannot be moved between categories but there is flexibility for how funds are used within each category.
Your NDIS plan may include one or more of the following budgets:
Core supports budget
The most flexible budget, covering daily living needs, consumables, community participation, and transport. Some funds may be restricted for specific purposes. The services that your Support Workers provide on a daily basis will come from the Core Supports budget.
Capacity building budget
Aimed at skill development and independence, with funding allocated across categories such as employment, relationships, health, and lifelong learning. Support Coordination services will be paid for from the Capacity Building budget.
Capital support budget
Covers assistive technology and home modifications, such as wheelchairs or bathroom rails. These funds are based on supplier quotes and must be used for their intended purpose.
Once approved, your plan can be implemented with support from a Local Area Coordinator, early childhood partner, or a Support Coordinator (if funded). Self-managed participants can start using their plan independently.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding to eligible people living with a disability or permanent cognitive impairment.
The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) makes decisions about whether someone is eligible to become an NDIS participant. If someone is deemed eligible, the NDIA will then decide how much funding they will receive.
The NDIS covers and provides support for a wide range of disabilities.
To apply to the NDIS, the first thing to do is check if you meet the eligibility requirements.
A NDIS plan outlines your goals and the supports that may help you achieve those goals while living your life as independently as possible.
There are three different ways to manage your NDIS funding.
The NDIS funds a variety of supports and services that can include personal care, mobility aids, therapy, home modifications, and help with community participation.
To switch NDIS providers, you must locate your service agreement then follow 3-step simple steps.
